Hi! My name is Kristen Brown. I am a journalist, entrepreneur, videographer, and producer.

I grew up in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia. I graduated from Millwood High School in 2007 and then spent time traveling. While traveling, I developed a passion for writing and storytelling, which led me to further develop my skills in the Radio, Television & Journalism program at NSCC. I graduated with a major in Broadcast Journalism in 2016.

Following graduation, I immediately co-founded a full-service media production business called Arrow & Knot Productions with a classmate. We’ve been a full-time business for nine years now and have grown into an award-winning production house with nationally televised content.

In 2025, I was hired to cover a leave as the journalism instructor at Nova Scotia Community College in the Radio Television Journalism program. This experience allowed me to share my industry knowledge and passion for storytelling with the next generation of journalists.

I also co-host and produce a podcast for East Coast entrepreneurs called The Caffeine & Anxiety Podcast. This podcast gives my co-hosts and me a space to talk about the challenges we face as creative entrepreneurs and to explore important topics around mental health.

Please take a look around — I look forward to hearing from you!
